8th ExCOP
On behalf of the Portuguese Association of Hospital Pharmacists (APFH), it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 8th Excellence Course for Oncology Pharmacy (ExCOP), taking place from 2 to 6 October 2026 in the beautiful and historic city of Coimbra, Portugal.
It is a great honour for APFH to bring the ExCOP to Portugal for the first time, reinforcing our commitment to advancing oncology pharmacy practice and supporting the professional development of hospital oncology pharmacists worlwide.
ExCOP is an essential and face to face component of the European Certification Program for Oncology Pharmacy (EUSOP), developed by the European Society of Oncology Pharmacy (ESOP). As the first European certification programme dedicated to oncology pharmacy, EUSOP promotes excellence, harmonises professional competencies, and prepares pharmacists to meet the growing challenges of cancer care with the highest standards of quality and patient-centred practice.
Hosting the 8th ExCOP in Portugal represents a significant milestone for our profession. Successful completion of the EcCOP training, alongside the e-learning modules and national training programmes, constitutes the final step in the EUSOP programme and leads to the award of the “Oncology Pharmacist – EUSOP” certificate. It offers Portuguese and international pharmacists a unique opportunity to complete this prestigious European certification while fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the sharing of best practices among colleagues from different countries.
